Tea Tree Oil

Overview

Tea Tree Oil, melaleuca oil, comes from the Tea tree an evergreen tree which can also grow as a tall shrub and is native to sunny and moist areas of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. The oil is extracted from the leaves of the Tea Tree using steam distillation. The principal active ingredient is Terpineol

Botanical Name

 Melaleuca alternifolia

 Tea Tree Oil is from the Myrtle (Myrtaceae) family.

Terpineol is responsible for many of the therapeutic benefits of Tea Tree Oil.

Digestive System
