The Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2, Human Herpesvirus 2 (Genital Herpes) is a type of Herpes Simplex Virus that is sexually transmitted (it is a venereal disease). Although this Virus usually affects the genitals, it can also infect the Mouth, in which case it may be confused with Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1.
