Ozone

Description

Ozone is a toxic form of Oxygen that contains three Oxygen atoms per molecule.  Ozone is a natural constituent of the atmosphere - it concentrates in the Ozone layer of the atmosphere.

Electromagnetic Radiation

 Ozone's role in the Ozone layer of the atmosphere is to regulate (by destroying) excessive Ultra-Violet Radiation before it penetrates the lower layers of the atmosphere.

 Ozone normally absorbs almost all UV-C.  ^[1]

 The Ozone layer of the earth’s atmosphere is declining and this decline is permitting more Ultra-Violet Radiation to reach the earth’s surface (and human Skin).

Therapeutic use of Ozone is known as Ozone Therapy or Medical Ozone Therapy.  The underlying rationale for using a supposed toxin (Ozone) as a medical therapy is that therapeutic use of Ozone may activate the body’s natural Antioxidant system.

Cardiovascular System

 Ozone therapy has been used for the treatment of Gangrene (of the fingers and toes). 

 Ozone therapy may be useful for the treatment of Intermittent Claudication.  ^[2]

 Ozone therapy may improve Blood Circulation to the Brain following the occurrence of (ischemic) Stroke.  ^[3]

Ears/Hearing

 Ozone therapy may be useful for the treatment of Otitis Media.  ^[4]

 Ozone therapy has been used for the treatment of Tinnitus. 

Excretory System

 Ozone therapy may reduce the damage to the Kidneys caused by Cisplatin.  ^[5]

Immune System

 Ozone therapy is claimed to help to kill the HIV virus that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).  ^[6]

 Ozone therapy may be useful for the treatment of some types of Cancer (Cancer cells proliferate in low Oxygen environments – Ozone therapy delivers Oxygen to tumor sites).  ^[7]
