Ulcers - Plantar

Plantar Ulcers are a type of Skin Ulcer that occurs on the Feet (in persons afflicted with Diabetes Mellitus).  According to the American Diabetes Association, Plantar Ulcers are the leading cause of hospitalization for diabetics, with an estimated 60,000 patients a year requiring amputation of a lower limb as a result of Diabetic Plantar Ulcers.

Amino Acids

 Arginine (cream applied topically to the feet) may increase Blood Circulation to the feet of Plantar Ulcers patients and may help to prevent Plantar Ulcers.  ^[1]
