Taurine may reduce the Liver damage caused by (chronic) Hepatitis.  [1]

Carbohydrates

Kureha (a Polysaccharide present in Karawatake Mushrooms) may be beneficial for the treatment of (chronic) Hepatitis, Hepatitis B and (possibly) Hepatitis C.

Hormones

DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) may reduce the Liver damage that occurs in Hepatitis patients.  [2]

Immune System Chemicals

Exogenous, synthetic forms of Interferon Alpha (which is normally manufactured endogenously) are approved treatments for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.

The Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid form of Phosphatidylcholine (1,800 mg per day) may be beneficial for the treatment of Hepatitis:  [5]

-           Benefits are speculated to accrue from Phosphatidylcholine's ability to repair damage to Liver Cell Membranes.

Saikosaponins (constituents of Chinese Thoroughwax) may be useful for the treatment of (chronic active) Hepatitis (by protecting the Liver and counteracting the Inflammation associated with Hepatitis).  [6]

Minerals

Germanium may alleviate (chronic) Hepatitis.  [7]
