Cranial Nerves are the twelve pairs of peripheral nerves that originate in the brain and leave the skull through separate openings and do not traverse the Spinal Cord.

Types of Cranial Nerves
Abducens Nerves are motor nerves supplying the rectus on the outer and lateral side of each eye. This nerve controls the Muscles that move the Eyeball within its socket. The Abducens Nerve actions are coordinated with those of the Trochlear Nerve and the Oculomotor Nerve.
Accessory Nerve controls the Muscles of the neck which allow the head to turn in different directions.
