Description

Intestinal Parasites are Parasites that inhabit the human Intestinal Tract.

These Substances may Facilitate the Prevention or Elimination of Intestinal Parasites

Amino Acid Derivatives

Alliin may facilitate the elimination of Intestinal Parasites.

Enzymes

Proteolytic Enzymes - Dietary (e.g. Bromelain and Papain) may help to prevent the proliferation of Intestinal Parasites within the Small Intestine.

Endogenous Proteolytic Enzymes (Chymotrypsin, Pepsin and Trypsin) may help to prevent the proliferation of Intestinal Parasites within the Small Intestine.

Supplemental Pancreatic Enzymes may help to prevent the proliferation of Intestinal Parasites within the Small Intestine (due to the Proteolytic Enzyme content of supplemental Pancreatic Enzymes).

Glycosides

Oleuropein may inhibit or kill many types of Intestinal Parasites including:

 Flatworm

 Hookworm

 Roundworm

 Tapeworm

Immune System Chemicals

IgE plays a role in the prevention of infestations from Intestinal Parasites.

Microorganisms

Lactobacillus acidophilus may facilitate the elimination of Intestinal Parasites.

Minerals

Silver (consumed orally) may help to kill Intestinal Parasites.  [1]

Zinc may inhibit the proliferation of Intestinal Parasites (by stimulating various aspects of the Immune System in the Gastrointestinal Tract that are involved in killing Intestinal Parasites).  [2]

Organic Acids

Anacardic Acid has been reported to facilitate the expulsion of Intestinal Parasites from the body.

Prescribed Medications

Anthelmintics are employed to destroy Intestinal Parasites and/or remove them from the body (note that specific Anthelmintics are employed against specific forms of Intestinal Parasites):

Levamisole kills several types of Intestinal Parasites (it paralyzes many Intestinal Parasites in the Intestine - the Parasites are then discharged from the body during the elimination process).
