Cancer - Herbal Treatments

These Herbs may Prevent or Treat various forms of Cancer

 Aloe vera (juice consumed orally) may reduce Tumor mass in some types of Cancer and may inhibit the of some types of Cancer.  ^[1]

 Asafetida may help to prevent various forms of Cancer.  ^[2]

 Ashwagandha may kill some types of Cancer cells:  ^[3]

 Astragalus may increase the survival time of Cancer patients.  ^[4]

 Barberry may suppress some forms of Cancer cells (due to its Berberine content). 

 Basil may help to prevent various forms of Cancer.  ^[5]

 Bindweed may be useful for the treatment of Cancer (due to its ability to inhibit angiogenesis).  ^[6]

 Black Cumin (seeds) may inhibit the growth of many types of tumor cells (due to the Limonene, Dithymoquinoline and Thymoquinoline content of Black Cumin) and is therefore useful for the prevention and treatment of Cancer:  ^[7]

 Black Cumin (seeds) may inhibit the ability of Cancer cells to produce Collagenase.

 Black Cumin (seeds) may inhibit the ability of Cancer cells to produce Fibroblast Growth Factor.

 Black Walnut may help to prevent many forms of Cancer (due to its high content of Ellagic Acid). 

 Burdock (root) may prevent the development of some forms of Cancer.  ^[8]

 Cat's Claw has been used (traditionally in South America) for the treatment of many forms of Cancer.  ^[9]

 Chaparral may protect against some forms of Cancer (due to its Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid (NDGA) content):  ^[10]

 Caution:  it is also claimed that Chaparral can also cause some forms of Cancer.

 Cinnamon may help to prevent some types of Cancer.  ^[11]

 Echinacea may be useful in the treatment of Cancer (due to its effect on NK Lymphocytes, its ability to stimulate Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) and due to its ability to activate Macrophages).  ^[12]

 Elecampane may stimulate the necrosis of some types of Cancer cells.  ^[13]

 Essiac (a mixture of Herbs, primarily Sheep Sorrel) is claimed to have caused the regression of the tumors involved in some forms of Cancer, and may occasionally cause total elimination of Cancer.  In almost every anecdotal case, Essiac has been claimed to have significantly diminished the Pain and suffering of Cancer patients.  ^[14]
