Overview
Asafetida also called Devil's Dung; Hing; Narthex; Stinking Gum, is a bitter-tasting Herb that is native to Iran and the Middle East. Its odor is strongly onion-like and its taste is strong and unpleasant.

Asafetida is from the Parsley (Umbelliferae) family.
