Description
The Thalamus is the largest of the structures of the Brain that are collectively known as the Diencephalon - the Thalamus is not regarded as a discrete organ but a group of many smaller structures. It is located in the center of the Brain, immediately above the Subthalamus, beneath the Cerebrum and Basal Ganglia and just above the Hypothalamus.
