The Senses are the bodily systems by which external or internal stimuli are received and transformed into perceptions or sensations within the Brain.

Sensory Receptors within Sensory Organs react to external or internal Stimuli (e.g. sights, sounds, flavors, smells, injury, hunger) by generating Nerve Impulses for transmission via the Peripheral Nervous System and the Spinal Cord to specific destinations within the Cerebral Cortex of the Brain.
