Thirst is an uneasy or painful Sense of dryness in the Mouth and Pharynx (Throat) caused by need for fluids especially Water.

The Sense of Thirst is triggered by a reduction in the secretion of Saliva in the Mouth and is regulated by Osmoreceptors in the Hypothalamus.
