Opioid Receptors are agroup of Receptor sites located on some Neurons within the Brain (primarily in the Midbrain; and Raphe Nucleus of the Medulla of the Brain Stem) and the SpinalCord (in the Substantia Gelatinosa of the Dorsal Horn).

When stimulated, Opioid Receptors are responsible for issuing Nerve Impulses that alleviate Pain.
