Cancer - Uterus

Also known as:  Uterine Cancer;  Womb Cancer

Uterus Cancer is a type of Cancer that involves the formation/growth of malignant tumor(s) in the Uterus.

 Uterus Cancer is the fourth most commonly-occurring type of Cancer in women.

 Uterus Cancer accounts for 8% of all cases of Cancer in women and accounts for 4% of Cancer deaths in women (in the USA in 1994).

Hormones

 Estriol may inhibit the ability of Estradiol, Estrone and Synthetic Estrogens to stimulate the growth of the cells involved in Uterus Cancer.  ^[1]

 Progesterone may help to prevent Uterus Cancer.  ^[2]

Minerals

 Iodine may help to prevent Uterus Cancer. 

 Selenium may reduce the risk of Uterus Cancer:  ^[3]

 Geographical areas of the world with the highest dietary Selenium intake exhibit lower rates of Uterus Cancer.

 Sodium Bicarbonate may be a viable therapy for Uterus Cancer.

Prescribed Medications

 Low-dose Naltrexone may be useful for the treatment of Uterus Cancer.

Polyphenols

 Delphinidin may help to prevent Uterus Cancer.  ^[4]

 Luteolin may help to prevent (Estradiol-induced) Uterus Cancer.  ^[5]
