Overview

Shark Cartilage is Cartilage derived from Sharks - Cartilage comprises 6% - 8% of the total body weight of Sharks.

Cardiovascular System

 Shark Cartilage may lower Blood Pressure in High Blood Pressure patients (by blocking the hypertensive effects of Parathyroid Hypertensive Factor (PHF).  ^[1]

Eyes/Vision

 Shark Cartilage may stabilize or improve visual acuity in Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) patients.  ^[2]

Immune System

 Shark Cartilage may alleviate several forms of Cancer (by inhibiting the formation of new Blood Vessels that "feed" tumors).  ^[3]  Cancers that can be treated with Shark Cartilage include:

 Caution:  The use of Shark Cartilage for the treatment of Cancer is controversial.  Some clearly unbiased natural medicine rreferencesers have concluded that Shark Cartilage is ineffective for the treatment of Cancer and a recent clinical trial adds support to this counter-argument.  ^[5]
