These Substances may Alleviate Rhinitis
Alkaloids
Capsaicin (administered intranasally) may alleviate Rhinitis. [1]
Pseudoephedrine (30 mg per dose) may function as a nasal decongestant in (allergic) Rhinitis patients. [2]
Amino Acids
N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) may be a useful therapy for the treatment of (allergic) Rhinitis. [3]
Animal Organ Extracts
Thymus Extract may alleviate Rhinitis (it may normalize the lowered Helper T-Cells:Suppressor T-Cells ratio that is a characteristic of (allergic) Rhinitis). [4]
Enzymes
Bromelain may be a useful therapy for the treatment of (allergic) Rhinitis. [5]
Lipids
Beta-Sitosterol(especially when used in conjunction with Sterolins such as Beta-Sitosterol Glycoside) may alleviate (allergic) Rhinitis (by increasing the TH1 Helper T-Cells:TH2 Helper T-Cells ratio and by decreasing IgE levels). [6]
Beta-Sitosterol Glycoside (especially when used in conjunction with Phytosterols such as Beta-Sitosterol) may alleviate (allergic) Rhinitis (by increasing the TH1 Helper T-Cells:TH2 Helper T-Cells ratio and by decreasing IgE levels). [7]
Minerals
Silver may be useful for the treatment of (viral) Rhinitis. [8]
