Leucine may help to prevent and treat age-related Muscular Atrophy (Sarcopenia).  [2]

Creatine Monohydrate may increase Muscle Strength and may increase Muscle mass in Muscular Atrophy patients.  [3]

Glutamine may help to prevent Muscular Atrophy.

Glycine may help to prevent and treat Muscular Atrophy (by supplying the Muscles with additional Creatine).

Hydroxy Methylbutyrate (HMB) may help to prevent Muscular Atrophy during periods of immobilization.  [4]

Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (OKG) may inhibit Muscular Atrophy during severe illnesses.  [5]

Animal-Derived Supplements

Hormones

Exogenous Human Growth Hormone (hGH) may partially reverse Muscular Atrophy.  [6]

Muscular Atrophy may occur as a result of insufficient endogenous production of Testosterone - exogenous Testosterone may alleviate Muscular Atrophy where the underlying cause of Muscular Atrophy is insufficient endogenous Testosterone production.  [7]
