Overview
Adipose Tissue is the human body's Fat or stored Energy and the second most abundant substance in the human body. This connective tissue, composed of Adipocytes, is located beneath the skin and around internal organs. Adipose Tissue is divided into two types, white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT).
