Sarcoidosis is a type of Autoimmune Disease involving an abnormal collection of inflammatory cells (Granulomas) in various organs of the body.
Prevalence
Sarcoidosis develops predominantly between the ages of 20 and 40.
Sarcoidosis is most common in northern Europeans and American blacks.

Melatonin may be useful for the treatment of Sarcoidosis. [1]
Lipids
Phytosterols (especially a combination of Phytosterols such as Beta-Sitosterol and Sterolins such as Beta-Sitosterol Glycoside) may alleviate Sarcoidosis (by stimulating the proliferation of TH1 Helper T-Cells and deactivating TH2 Helper T-Cells).
