Pancreatic Amylase is a Digestive Enzyme that is a constituent of Pancreatic Juice. It is secreted from the Pancreas into the Duodenum.
Biological Function of Pancreatic Amylase
Digestive System
Pancreatic Amylase facilitates the digestion of Polysaccharides in the Duodenum - Pancreatic Amylase splits Polysaccharides (including Starch) into smaller units of Maltose.
Novel Use of Pancreatic Amylase
Immune System
Pancreatic Amylase (especially when administered concurrently with Bromelain and Papain) may interfere with the growth of the malignant Cells of many forms of Cancer (by helping to stimulate the body’s endogenous production of anti-Cancer compounds such as Interleukin 1, Interleukin 6 and Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF)).
