Musculoskeletal System

 Cow's Milk may be beneficial for the prevention of Osteoporosis due to its Calcium content. 

Oral Health

 Cow's Milk may help to prevent Tooth Decay due to its Casein and Calcium content.

****    Approximately 31% of the Calcium content of Cow’s Milk is absorbed by the body.  The remaining 69% is excreted from the body prior to its absorption.  [2]

#         These constituents of raw Cow’s Milk are destroyed by the Pasteurization process.

##       The IGF-1 content of Cow’s Milk is increased in the Milk obtained from Cows injected with recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH).  This hormone also increases the pus and Antibiotic residue content of Cow’s Milk.

Toxic Effects of Excessive Milk Consumption

Cardiovascular System

 Homogenized Cow’s Milk may increase the risk of Atherosclerosis (as the Homogenization process permits Xanthine Oxidase (a possible contributor to Atherosclerosis) to be absorbed into the body).  [3]

 Cow’s Milk may cause Crohn’s Disease (if Milk is contaminated with Mycobacterium paratuberculosis).  Mycobacterium paratuberculosis has been implicated as a possible cause of Crohn’s Disease.  Pasteurization of Cow’s Milk does not kill Mycobacterium paratuberculosis.  [7]
