Prostaglandins - Series 2
Also known as: Omega 6 Prostaglandins
Description
Series 2 Prostaglandins are a group of Prostaglandins that have two double bonds in their side-chains. Prostaglandin I2 is regarded as beneficial, while Prostaglandin E2 is regarded as toxic - the toxic effects of PGE2 outweigh the benefits of PGI2 (the health benefits of PGI2 can easily be obtained from other Prostaglandins).
