Description

Far Infrared Radiation is a spectrum of Infrared Radiation.  It comprises the Infrared spectrum from 5.61 microns to 1,000 microns (1 mm).  It is claimed that the spectrum of 6 – 14 microns provides most of the therapeutic benefits associated with Far Infrared Radiation.

Health Benefits of Far Infrared Radiation

Far Infrared Radiation Therapy may be a means of deriving the therapeutic benefits associated with Hyperthermia as the high body temperature generated during exposure to “supplemental” Far Infrared Radiation may induce/mimic the effects of Hyperthermia.

Cardiovascular System

Far Infrared Radiation therapy may temporarily increase Blood Circulation.

Far Infrared Radiation therapy may improve the condition of Congestive Heart Failure patients.  [1]

Far Infrared Radiation therapy may help to lower elevated Blood Pressure in High Blood Pressure patients.  [2]

Excretory System

Far Infrared Radiation therapy increases Perspiration (due to the additional heat generated within the body by Far Infrared Radiation).

Musculoskeletal System

Exposure to supplemental Far Infrared Radiation may alleviate Ankylosing Spondylitis.  [3]

Exposure to supplemental Far Infrared Radiation may alleviate Backache (especially low-back Pain).

Exposure to supplemental Far Infrared Radiation may alleviate Bursitis.

Exposure to supplemental Far Infrared Radiation may reduce Pain in Fibromyalgia patients  [4]

Exposure to supplemental Far Infrared Radiation may alleviate thePain associated with (compression)Fractures.
