Metabolism

 Synephrine may increase the body’s Basal Metabolism (BMR) - by approximately 3%, may stimulate , may stimulate and may thereby facilitate weight loss in persons afflicted with Obesity (primarily by stimulating Adrenaline and Norepinephrine release and by activating various Adrenergic Receptors):  [1]

 Part of the thermogenic effects attributable to Synephrine are due to it activating Beta-3 Adrenergic Receptors (i.e. it functions as a Beta-3 Adrenergic Receptor Agonist).  [2]

 Synephrine may stimulate Alpha-1 Adrenergic Receptors (i.e. it functions as an Alpha-1 Adrenergic Receptor Agonist).
