Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone stimulates the release of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) from the Pituitary Gland. [1]

Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone deficiency has been implicated in the onset of Alzheimer's Disease (preliminary research indicates that CRH is being depleted by another (as yet unidentified) Protein that is present in the Brains of Alzheimer’s Disease patients). Most Alzheimer’s Disease patients are found to have decreased CRH levels. [2]
