Description
The Olfactory Nerve is a type of Cranial Nerve that originates in the Olfactory Receptors (Smell Receptors) located on the roof of the Nasal Cavity. This Nerve is one of the shortest Nerves of the body and has the “quickest” route of all Nerves to the Brain.

The Olfactory Nerve transports Nerve Impulses relating to the Sense of Smell to the Cerebral Cortex and to the Limbic System.
