Description
Sarcomas are a group of Cancers that involve the body’s Connective Tissues. Sarcomas can occur in any part of the body as they arise in the tissues that comprise Organs rather than being restricted to a particular organ.
These Substances may Assist the Prevention or Treatment of Sarcomas
Amino Acids
Arginine may inhibit the further growth of some types of Sarcomas. [1]
Carbohydrates
Acemannan (gel applied topically) may improve the effectiveness of Radiation Therapy for the treatment of the Fibrosarcoma form of Sarcoma. [2]
Lipids
Squalene may inhibit the of some types of Sarcomas. [3]
Prescribed Medications
Retinoic Acid (administered orally) may inhibit the growth of and induces the regression of Chondrosarcoma, Kaposi’s Sarcoma and Osteosarcoma forms of Sarcoma.
Polyphenols
Epigallo-Catechin-Gallate (EGCG) may help to prevent Sarcomas.
