Cancer - Endogenous Treatments

Description

Endogenous chemicals that the body produces naturally that prevent some (or perhaps all) forms of Cancer.  Modern science has developed means of artificially synthesizing many of these chemicals (for exogenous administration) in order to “fight” Cancer.

Antioxidant Enzymes

 Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) may help to prevent several forms of Cancer:  ^[1]

 A pharmaceutical form of the Copper-Zinc form of SOD (named CuDIPS) may retard the growth of Cancer cells by penetrating the Cell Membranes of Cancer cells and scavenging the Free Radicals inside these Cells.  This may result in a reduction in tumor size, a decrease in the survival times of Cancer cells and a delay in the appearance of of these Cancer cells.  CuDIPS may stimulate the production of Hydrogen Peroxide inside Cancer cells which contributes to its effectiveness against Cancer.

Carbohydrates

 Glucuronides may help to prevent many types of carcinogen-induced Cancer (by facilitating the elimination of many carcinogens from the body). 

Enzymes

 The Beta-Glucosidase enzyme is present around Cancer cells at a level 100 times greater than its presence around normal cells:

 Its purpose is to allow the Cancer-killing substances in Laetrile (Benzaldehyde and organic Cyanide) to combine forces and act synergistically to form a toxin 100 times more potent than either substance acting alone - with cytotoxic consequence for Cancer tissue.

 The activity of Choline Oxidase in Cancer cells is only 5% - 10% of the level of activity present in non-cancerous cells.  ^[2]

 Peroxidases may inhibit the growth of tumor cells.  ^[3]

 Endogenous Proteolytic Enzymes are speculated to inhibit some forms of Cancer when produced in greater quantities than normal. 

 Quinone Reductase may help to prevent many forms of Cancer (by detoxifying carcinogenic Quinones) - the body naturally produces additional Quinone Reductase in areas of the body that are afflicted with Cancer in an endogenous attempt to “fight” Cancer.  ^[4]
