Glucuronides
Description
Glucuronides are a group of compounds that are formed by conjugation of other substances with Glucuronic Acid (the Uronic Acid from of Glucose).
Biological Function of Glucuronides
Detoxification
Progesterone's inactive metabolites (Pregnanediones, Pregnanalones and Pregnanediols) are excreted from the body via the Bile and Urine as Glucuronides.
