Atherosclerosis
Overview
Atherosclerosis is a specific form of Arteriosclerosis characterized by “hardening” of the Arteries in which atherosclerotic plaque (raised patches) develops on the thin inner walls (Endothelium) of arteries and obstructs Blood Circulation. Atherosclerosis is also an underlying factor leading to serious conditions, including Heart Attack and Stroke.
