Thrombin
Overview
Thrombin is a serine protease enzyme that plays a central role in the blood coagulation process. It is produced from prothrombin in a series of complex biochemical reactions, primarily initiated by tissue injury.

Thrombin is essential to the Blood Clotting (coagulation) process within the body. Thrombin converts Fibrinogen to Fibrin in the final stage of Blood Clotting.
