Bleeding involves the escape of Blood from Blood Vessels due to Wounds or disease. The primary purpose of the biological process of Blood Clotting is to halt Bleeding.

Polyphenols
Most Polyphenols prevent excessive Bleeding by improving the structural integrity of Capillaries.
Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPCs) may help to prevent excessive Bleeding (by strengthening the walls of Blood Vessels, reducing their susceptibility to leakage).
Rutin may prevent excessive Bleeding (e.g. of the Gums) and may prevent the hemorrhaging that occurs as a side effect of Radiation Therapy.
