Overview

Vinpocetine is derived from the extract of the seeds from the common Periwinkle plant (Vinca major) Vinpocetine can enhance brain circulation improving oxygen levels to the brain aiding in overall health. In Europe Vinpocetine has been used medicinally since 1983. Vinpocetine has a safe record of use with only a few potential side effects. These symptoms appear to have occurred in less than 1% of people using Vinpocetine. Blood levels of vinpocetine peak approximately within 90 minutes of ingestion.

Health Benefits of Vinpocetine

Aging Process

Vinpocetine may significantly decrease the decline in the release of Dopamine that normally occurs in tandem with the progression of the Aging Process.  [1]

Cardiovascular System

Vinpocetine may improve Blood Circulation to the Brain and may thereby prevent and alleviate Cerebral Insufficiency.  [2]

Vinpocetine may dilate Blood Vessels throughout the body, including those in the Brain.  [3]

Vinpocetine may lower Hematocrit levels.  [4]

Vinpocetine (10 mg per day) may improve the flexibility of Red Blood Cells and may thereby help to prevent Strokes. A reduction in the flexibility of Red Blood Cells is associated with an increased risk of Stroke.  [5]

Digestive System

Vinpocetine may inhibit the irritation and Inflammation of the Stomach caused by excessive Alcohol intake:  [6]

Vinpocetine may inhibit the ability of Alcohol consumption from damaging the Gastric Mucosa, Alcohol-induced Gastric lesions.  [7]

Ears/Hearing

Vinpocetine may improve impaired Hearing (Deafness) in cases of sudden hearing loss.  [8]

Vinpocetine may be an effective treatment for cases of Sensorineural Hearing Loss.  [9]

Vinpocetine may improve many Inner Ear problems by improving Blood Circulation to the Inner Ear.  [10]

Vinpocetine may alleviate the symptoms of Meniere's Disease.  [11]

 Vinpocetine may alleviate Tinnitus.  [12]

Vinpocetine may alleviate Vertigo dizziness, in 77% of patients.  [13]

Excretory System

Vinpocetine (10 mg per day) may alleviate many cases of Urinary Incontinence.  [14]

Eyes/Vision

Vinpocetine may improve the condition of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) patients (primarily by improving Blood Circulation to the Eyes) and may also help to prevent ARMD.  [15]

Vinpocetine may improve Blood Circulation to the Eyes especially to the Retina and Macula regions.  [16]

Vinpocetine may help to stabilize the condition of Glaucoma patients.  [17]

Vinpocetine may improve Sight in patients with Night Blindness.  [18]

Vinpocetine may improve Sight in many people afflicted with Eyesight Disorders especially where impaired Sight occurs as a result of sub-optimal Blood Circulation to the Eyes. Vinpocetine may also improve night vision.  [19]

Immune System

Vinpocetine may reduce Inflammation by its vasodilator properties.  [20]

Metabolism

Vinpocetine may prolong survival during periods of Anoxia during the total absence of Oxygen.  [21]

Vinpocetine possesses Antioxidants properties. It is comparable to Vitamin E in terms of its Antioxidant potential.  [22]

Vinpocetine deactivates Hydroxyl Free Radicals.  [23]

Vinpocetine may alleviate Fatigue where the underlying cause of Fatigue is Cerebral Insufficiency.  [24]

Vinpocetine may counteract the toxic effects of Ischemia on Neurons.  [25]

Nervous System:  Ailments
