Glycerides
Description
Glycerides are Lipid compounds formed through the linking (formation of esters) of one, two or three Fatty Acids to a Glycerol molecule. Glycerol has three Alcohol groups - if all three Alcohol groups have formed esters the compound is known as a Triglyceride.

Lipids
Most dietary Fats are consumed in the form of Glycerides (usually Triglycerides).
Endogenous Fats are stored within the body as Glycerides (usually as Triglycerides).
