Description

Diglycerides are a type of Glyceride in which two of the three Alcohol groups present in Glycerol have formed esters with Fatty Acids.

Enzymes

 Diacylglycerol Acyltransferase catalyzes the conversion of Diglycerides to Triglycerides (in the Liver).

 Lipases break down Triglycerides into Diglycerides and split Diglycerides into their constituent Fatty Acids and Glycerol.
