Oleic Acid
Overview
Oleic Acid is a type of Monounsaturated Fatty Acid with a 16 carbon chain and a double-bond between carbons 9 and 10. The Trans Isomer of Oleic Acid is known as: Elaidic Acid. Oleic Acid is present in all human tissues.
Oleic Acid normally comprises 7.5% to 15.5% of total fasting Red Blood Cell Fatty Acids.
