Description

Palm Oil is the Oil extracted from the outer, fibrous pulp of the fruit of the Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis from the Arecaceae family).  Physically, it is red in color due to its high content of Alpha-Carotene and Beta-Carotene.  Note that Palm Oil is a separate Oil from Palm Kernel Oil.
