Description
Hypotension is low Blood Pressure, POTS, short for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.
Substances that may Raise Blood Pressure in Hypotension Patients
Alkaloids
Ephedrine may increase systolic and diastolic Blood Pressure.
Nicotine may increase Blood Pressure in Hypotension patients (by causing Blood Vessels to constrict).
Amino Acids
Phenylalanine may increase Blood Pressure.
Tyramine may cause increases in Blood Pressure:
Caution: Tyramine has various toxic side effects.
Tyrosine may increase Blood Pressure in Hypotension patients. [1]
Glycosides - Saponins
Glycyrrhizin may increase Blood Pressure in Hypotension patients (due to Glycyrrhizin mimicking the structure and actions of Aldosterone).
Hormones
Adrenaline alleviates Hypotension by increasing Blood Pressure.
