Macrocytic Anemia
Description
Macrocytic Anemia is a form of Anemia characterized by the presence of abnormally large Red Blood Cells (i.e. Macrocytosis). It is caused by defective DNA synthesis of Red Blood Cells in the Bone Marrow.
Prevalence
Macrocytosis is present in 1% to 4% of adults.
