Nootropics are a class of cognitive enhancing (smart) drugs that have beneficial global effects on Mental Function. Nootropics are chemical derivatives (but produced synthetically) of the Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA) Neurotransmitter - however they do not interact with the GABA pathways within the Central Nervous System - their method of action is not yet fully understood.
