Clonazepam inhibits the body's reuptake of Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) by binding to the GABAa Receptors (a subtype of Benzodiazepine Receptors) in the Brain, thereby allowing the potentiation of GABA's tranquilizing effects.
