Ketoconazole is a Anti-Fungal Drug.
Therapeutic Usage of Ketoconazole
Immune System
Ketoconazole suppresses infections caused by Blastomyces Fungi (i.e. Blastomycosis).
Ketoconazole suppresses Candida albicans infections of the Mouth or Vagina in 1 - 2 weeks. [1]
Skin/Hair
Ketoconazole (Shampoo containing 2% Ketoconazole applied topically to the Scalp once or twice per week) alleviates and prevents the recurrence of most cases of severe Dandruff.
It suppresses the Pityrosporum ovale, the Detrimental Bacteria that can cause Dandruff. [2]
Ketoconazole (Shampoo containing 2% Ketoconazole applied topically to the Scalp once or twice per week) alleviates and prevents the recurrence of most cases of Dermatitis - Seborrheic of the Scalp. It suppresses the Pityrosporum ovale, the Detrimental Bacteria that can cause scalp Seborrheic Dermatitis. [3]
