Description
Hydrogen is an Element that is a component of the molecules of all organic substances found in the human body.

Biological Function of Hydrogen
Excretory System
The waste byproducts of "spent" Amino Acids and endogenous Proteins (i.e. Nitrogen) is combined with Hydrogen to form Ammonia (which is further combined with Carbon Dioxide to form Urea which is excreted from the body via the Urine).
Metabolism
Hydrogen atoms participate (at a cellular level) in many of the intermediate steps in the manufacture of Energy within the body - e.g. within the ElectronTransport System and Krebs Cycle:
