The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is a strain of Herpes Virus, Herpesvirus 4.
Toxic Effects of the Epstein-Barr Virus
Excretory System
Sleep Hyperhidrosis (Night Sweats) may occur as a symptom of Epstein-Barr Virus infection.
Immune System
The Epstein-Barr Virus is responsible for Burkitt's Lymphoma (a form of Lymphatic Cancer).
The Epstein-Barr Virus may cause Fever (i.e. Fever of unknown origin).
The Epstein-Barr Virus may cause Glandular Fever(infectious Mononucleosis).
The Epstein-Barr Virus may cause a mild form of Hepatitis.
The Epstein-Barr Virus is believed to contribute to approximately 30% of all cases of Hodgkin’s Disease.
The Epstein-Barr Virus is believed to contribute to approximately 50% of all cases of Pharyngeal Cancer.
The Epstein-Barr Virus is believed to contribute to some cases of Stomach Cancer.
Metabolism
The Epstein-Barr Virus has been implicated as an underlying cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). [1]
