Ascorbigen
Overview
Ascorbigen is a compound comprised of one molecule of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and one molecule of Indole-3-Carbinol.
Ascorbigen is the most common of several dietary Indoles released from homogenized or cooked Cruciferous Vegetables when Glucobrassicin (a type of Glucosinolate) is hydrolyzed by the Myrosinase enzyme.
