Botanical Name
Cucumis melo reticulatis from the Gourd (Cucurbitaceae) family, the melon that most Americans regard as Cantaloupe. The true Cantaloupe is smooth-skinned and is commonly found in Europe. It's Botanical Name is: Cucumis melo cantalupensis and is rarely seen outside Europe.
