The overall aim of Skin Renewal is to produce a more youthful Skin appearance and to improve the underlying biology of the Skin.
Biochemistry of Skin Renewal
The processes involved in Skin Renewal are similar to those involved in Woundshealing:
1. Skin damage (often deliberately-induced via agents such as Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Retin-A, Laser Resurfacing or other Skin Improvers) stimulates the release of Proteolytic Enzymes that dissolve Skin Proteins into smaller fragments.
