5-Androstenediol

5-Androstenediol is one of the two forms of Androstenediol. 5-Androstenediol is no longer available as a dietary supplement.  It was outlawed in the USA during 2005 and is also outlawed in most other countries of the world.

Musculoskeletal System

 Supplemental 5-Androstenediol (150 - 300 mg per day) may facilitate Muscle Growth (due to 5-Androstenediol functioning as a precursor for the endogenous production of Testosterone).  Some sources also claim that 5-Androstenediol also exerts Muscle-building effects directly (i.e. prior to and independent to its conversion to Testosterone).
