Description

Prostatitis is an ailment that involves Inflammation and Pain in the Prostate and nearby regions.

 

Prevalence

 Prostatitis is most common in adult males - it affects approximately 5% of men each year.

 45% of men develop Prostatitis at some time in their life.

 Prostatitis is the most common urological disorder in men less than 50 years of age.

 

These Substances may Alleviate Prostatitis

Lipids

 Beta-Sitosterol may be useful for the treatment of Prostatitis.  [1]

 Cetyl Myristoleate (CMO) may alleviate the Inflammation associated with Prostatitis. 

 

Minerals

 Magnesium deficiency may be an underlying cause of (chronic) Prostatitis.  [2]

 Silver may be useful for the treatment of Prostatitis (Bacterial Prostatitis forms only).  [3]

Polyphenols
