Description
Pulmonary Fibrosis is a type of Respiratory System Ailment that involves scarring (fibrosis) of the Lungs. Over a period of time, the air sacs (Alveoli) of the Lungs become replaced by fibrotic tissue, causing the tissue of the Lungs to become thicker, which results in irreversible loss of the Lung tissue’s ability to transfer Oxygen into the bloodstream.
